AUGUST 2010

The new festival has been named "COOLY ROCKKS ON" and will be held in Coolangatta on the 3rd to 13th June 2011,
yes exactlt the same time as the Port Macquarie venture.
So you need to make a choice.
This is not a competition, but that happens to be the best time of the year including a long weekend.

You can also checkout their website for information at www.coolyrockson.com.au.

Lots of things in the wind but I cannot tell you about them because they are not confirmed.
Perhaps next month we will have some more news.

The new CD has arrived and it is called "THE WAY IT WAS" I hope you enjot it.
There are 22 songs on it that we perform regularly on stage.  It also features some old
photos of the band when we were only in our 20's.  NOT very long ago.

Please be assured there is another festival in Coolangatta to replace Wintersun,
so go ahead and book your accommodation for next year. We will be there.

Wintersun is in full swing for the last time as "WINTERSUN FESTIVAL" but be assured there will be another festival in Coolangatta

MAY 2010

Not a lot to report everything is going well, the band is very happy and we are working very hard on some new songs.
The future looks bright and we are meeting a lot of new people (which we really enjoy).

The website was not up to date until yesterday, it is now updated. Thank you for bringing it to my attention all 93 of you.

This mailout list has grown to some where between 400  -  500 fans (for want of a better adjective), and this is very pleasing.

Starting to get a few gigs in over 50's villages now, this is exactly our market they are all BABY-BOOMERS and we love it.
We actually finish at a reasonable hour, which allows us to get home before midnight.
Lots of things in the wind but I cannot tell you about them because they are not confirmed.

 It's April already before you know it I will be saying merry xmas.
I few things to report, we will not be making an appearance at Wintersun this year, (This is our choice)
however we will be at Currumbin RSL on Sunday afternoon 13th June (see gig guide).

East's Leagues Club has cancelled THE CHEVROLETS from all bookings indefinitely, (This is not our choice),
but we sure as hell are not prepared to work for 5 hours on Sundays and therefore they cancelled us.
Our apologies go to you the people who supported us every visit there.

Once again, please ring and check all venues before show.

Our new CD will be ready by the end of the month, we have finished our job at the studio so now it is all up to the packaging. 

A couple of trips down to Lismore Workers pleases us we look forward to catching up with a number of people there.
The club treats us very well and it is appreciated.

We have a great time at Burleigh Bears, a small club but it has got something you just cannot put your finger on.
The people there really appreciate our choice of music and of course this is contagious.
You do need to be early for a table but most people are prepared to share.

It is fabulous to have Martin back with us after his successful tour in New Zealand with The Fourmyula,
and once again we extend our very special thanks to Mick Welge who filled in for Martin.

Hi All.

We would firstly like to thank one of our special friends VERNIA BULLIVANT for the effort in arranging
30 people for our dinner show at the Yacht Club. 
The night would not have been a success without her efforts and boy do I know how difficult it can be
getting 30 people together at the one time. Thanks again Vernia.

We will be taking a 3 week break after NYE at Southport Workers Club and return late January 2010.

The band has not been to Lismore for a couple of years and we are looking forward to that one in particular.
We do enjoy all our performances but when you have not been there for a long period of time, it's always good to return.

We will be at the Hervey Bay Boat Club on the 6th February 2010, I don't think we have been there for over a year.

Twin Towns have re-booked for the 17th February 2010, a daytime melody show, and we really love to work that room.

We are approaching that time of the year when a lot of private bookings start to take over (xmas party's etc)
but we still manage to be at the regular places where we got our start.
Next years ship cruise looks like being a real hoot (I think it is sold out) there are so many of you that are
going it will be like working here at home.

Hi All,

I have been slack and forgot to send out the gig guide. Thank heavens for you guys that keep on my back.

I have just heard from the Ship Cruise next November 2010, they are not sold out, but the cheaper cabins would be scarce.

We have just completed a show in TWIN TOWNS AUDITORIUM in which we had 700 people in the middle of the day;
this seems to be our market. Also we had around 400 people at the charity show on Sunday at KEDRON WAVELL SERVICES. 
I recognise a lot of you in the audience; it really is pleasing to know that the large majority of you read this mail out.

May I draw your attention to the 5th December 09 at the SOUTHPORT YACHT CLUB?
This will be a complete night of Baby-Boomer entertainment with compere comedian KENNY BENNETT,
Plus our Rock n Roll films, THE CHEVROLETS and a 3 COURSE MEAL all for just $65 per head.
 Yes, it is exactly like our Wintersun Shows that were so successful, we just had to do it again.

But we are still doing the regular venues that make it all possible.
It is always good to get back to where we know people and are very comfortable with.
Next years ship cruise looks like being a real hoot (I think it is sold out) there are so many
of you that are going it will be like working here at home. 
We have got another of our "DINNER/SHOW" coming up in December at the beautiful venue
SOUTHPORT YACHT CLUB.
It will be $65 3 course dinner and show with comedian KEN BENNETT.
Exactly the same as we did at Wintersun, more about that as it draws nearer.

We are now entering a very busy time of the year for us as you can see.
We are looking forward to a couple of new places like LOGAN ETERTAINMENT CENTRE,
BRISBANE LIONS SOCCER CLUB and a trip to MILDURA for the WINTERSUN FESTIVAL.

The British 60's Show is doing well with bookings in numerous venues, but we are still doing the regular

THE BRITISH 60's SHOW
